How to do Slow-motion Forgiveness (TM)

blyoungoldhands1Self-forgiveness is perhaps our most under-used tool here on Earth, the most fruitful open source tool EVERYONE can use.

A big misconception hinders people from using forgiveness correctly.

People assume forgiveness works like an affirmation:

“I forgive my mother. There. I’m done.”

Anyone who’s tried this knows Mom issues do not go away with one dose of forgiving, or by mouthing, “I forgive my mother,” over and over again.

Q: Why is this ineffective?

A: It ignores the role of disturbed feelings and unecessary judgments. Forgiving can only be understood in relation to these two.

When we allow disturbed feelings to take hold in us--and--allow our inner critic to judge and condemn, we bind up energy in our iner child, our Little Artist.

The same part of us who allows, creates and promotes this—our soul—also has the capacity to set our Little Artist free again. Both judgment and forgiveness are soul actions. Forgiveness is the antidote to self-judgment and to disturbed feelings stuck inside us.safety

Our stuck judgements and disturbed feelings come not from some a single incident but from multiple, many incidents, of the same dysfunctional feeling or self judgment over and over.

Consequently, these things can only be released by targeting the negativity and then releasing the incidents of negative creation, negative choice.

Forgiving the sequence of stuck negative incidences releases the disturbed energy in our inner child.

The Three Selves model makes how this works more clear.

The Basic self—same as the inner child—works for you as soul. The basic self has the job of recording and storing all our life experiences. Sooner or later the soul extracts its lessons and learning from those experiences; then, releases the rest as waste. If you have heard of people reporting, “my life flashed before my eyes,” this suggests the basic self’s huge capacity to store representations of our 3D experiences. WHY this is valuable and useful to us as souls—is a story for another day.

For example, say you have an issue with feeling hurt by a certain person. Do you think issue this formed from a single prior incident of feeling hurt? Or do you think the issue formed from allowing yourself to feel hurt by this person multiple times?

Of course the issue forms from feeling hurt by the person two of more times—and as many more times as we rehearse it and review the hurt in our imagination and memory. Rehearse and review the hurt enuf times, and you can get a pretty solid issue going there in the sub-conscious.

Negative feelings and faulty beliefs cannot, in fact, become conscious here in 3D, without a lot of "rehearsal." For a disturbance to become an “issue,” means it has been rehearsed over and over again until—in a manner of speaking—it attains to “a life of its own.” The same mechanism creates our physical illnesses as well.

We can have so many instances of feeling hurt by person X, that the sub-conscious, the Recorder, needs a very simple way to keep track of the many instances.

It simply numbers them: the first time I allowed myself to feel hurt by person X, the second time the third time, etc.

The "bad" news is our subconscious keeps track of our unresolved negativity.  The good news is, since incidents are recorded by the number—they can be released by simply counting them off by the number!

Who exactly does this releasing?  Your own soul.  Forgiveness can only be done by your soul. Contrary to some teachers of forgiveness, the mind and emotions do not know how to forgive. If they did, success with forgiveness would be more common. If forgiving was mere mental and emotional activity, we would be able to understand it like we understand 2 + 2 = 4.

More useful is the idea that forgiveness is a soul capacity.

The mind and emotions may understand forgiveness but the basic self is too enmeshed in the mind and emotions to respect them as an authority. Only your soul has the authority to forgive; and, the basic self listens to what the soul says.

Slow-motion forgiveness (TM) might look like this:

“I forgive myself for allowing myself to feel _________________ (the target, in our example “hurt by person X), the first time, the second time, the third time 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 . . .

Count as long as energy continues to move and clear inside you. I count to 1000 on my issues. I often do this walking, one number per step.

Please DO make up your own verbal formulas and try them! One formula per energetic target! The basic self can only focus on one thing at a time.

You know you have the right word formula if energy begins moving and clearing. Feel free to change the words to “hit the nail more on the head.” Often clients cannot feel the energy move. A more intuitive person can tell them what’s occurring.
